Foster the Esperanto community of wikiversity.org
Open, Needs TriagePublic

Description

The Esperanto version of Wikiversity because we don't have a community enough large and active to deploy it as an autonomous instance. What can be done to grow a community? Is there some patterns one should be especially aware of and try to apply, or any action that is advised? Do we have any feedback from other projects, successful or not, on how to foster a project community?

I began to read some of the pattern documentation. The most relevant for this kind of task is certainly Matching newcomers to Wikimedia projects and activities: nurturing happy, passionate editors).

Note, the full url end up with closing parentheses ")", but phabricator seems to not take that into account -> https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Grants:Learning_patterns/Matching_newcomers_to_Wikimedia_projects_and_activities:_nurturing_happy,_passionate_editors:)

The Harvesting new Wikimedians from social media. However I don't feel like me, myself and I would be enough to make a great team on so called social media. I don't even have an account on facebook and so on. Thus I don't have all the skills to use them as promotional tool. Plus there are certainly people out there who are more skilled than I on the general "public relation" topic. :)

Sure I can learn, but I would also appreciate to team with people more skilled than I, all the more my ability to "do everything myself" have a sooooooo limited scalability :)

So, the question is how do I find people to help me on this?

How is this task related to the scope of the WMF Community Resources team's work?
