https://wikitech.wikimedia.org/wiki/Help:Shared_storage says that /data/project can be used for backups.

The short version:
I'll script out some nightly db dumps to this NFS export once we have access. I'd recommend hanging on to a not-terribly-long history of dumps, say 30 days.

Backup script deployed, and we have a backup from today on the NFS share. I'm not sure where to stick this info documentation-wise. I'm thinking the puppet module, since it is going to effectively replace the original sysadmins doc.
