Nuke: Clarify that mass delete only deletes 500 pages
Closed, ResolvedPublic

Description

I selected a larger number than 500 for Mass delete and it lets me and lists all the records, but seems to only delete up to 500 (or some number less than what I think I'm deleting).

Also, after deleting 500, those records keep showing up on the list of files to be deleted, the next time I try to delete records. So I have to skip the first 500 records to get to the new records I wanna delete. And then after pressing delete, will say "could not delete" for the first 500 records (because they were all ready deleted). If there's a time I have to wait, it would be good to mention it. If there is a max, it would be good to mention it.

And would be great if I could put in a time "from -- to" to list all those records... then delete that way.

Useful , though! Thanks!

Event Timeline

Yep, it seems there's a limit on 500 deletable pages at once.

https://gerrit.wikimedia.org/r/c/mediawiki/extensions/Nuke/+/1027556 was just merged, which clarifies the text of this field with information about 500 being a limit.
