The francophone volunteers who created the WikiMOOC (T117281), about French Wikipedia, want to develop in 2017 a MOOC platform for the entire Wikimedia movement, which will be adapted to MediaWiki websites. Indeed, existing MOOCs hosting platforms (FUN, Coursera...) are technically unsuitable for MOOCs about Wikimedia projects. This new platform would be suitable for all Wikimedia projects, in all languages; it will be first used for WikiMOOC #3 (or WikiMOOC #4, depending on how fast the project progresses), and must be suitable for school and academic courses about Wikipedia.

Maybe add to the description that the design of the WikiMOOC platform would be of interest for academic purpose ? As an academic teacher of Wikipedia, my use of the WikiMOOC platform would be to take advantage of its CC-BY-SA licensing policy to create a structure that would be reusable and flexible for my (and others) academic courses. With this idea in mind, I am planning to apply for a grant at my university, with the aim of asking them to partner the project.

@0x010C, @Jules_WMFr: As the MOOC-Platform project got archived by @0x010C, what should happen to its open tasks like this one? Decline? :-/
