Open, LowPublic

Description

Current Behavior:

When scrolling through an article using keyboard arrow keys nothing happens.

Expected Behavior:

The down arrow should scroll down one line, the up arrow should scroll up one line.

Option+Down should page down. Option+Up should page up.

Cmd+Down should scroll to the end. Cmd+Up should scroll to top.

Update: The issue seems to be related to default focus. When an article is first clicked into, the page doesn't appear to get focus, so scrolling events are ignored.

However, if one clicks into the article itself (oddly, where you touch seems to matter), then scrolling will work as expected.

The fix here is to just make sure that focus is given to the page when an article is selected to ensure that scrolling events are delivered to the page.

Hi @Aklapper,

This affects the Wikipedia app for the iPad.

I'm using an iPad Pro with a Logitech Create keyboard attached via the smart connector.

Thanks!
