Pageviews Data : removes 1000 limit in the most viewed articles for a given project and timespan API
Open, LowPublic

Description

I would like to be able to look at more than the top 1000 most viewed articles for a given project and timespan. A solution could be to add two optional parameters, the first for the starting point (default 1), the second for the length of the list (default 1000).

The goal is to find the top 100 (or more) non-illustrated articles of a given project. Since checking if an article has an image takes time (around 1s fetching the text() ), we would like to be able to test the most viewed articles first, instead of testing all the articles.

At this time we do not have precalculated more than the first 1000, we will working back on enhancing pageview API features probably on Q4 (maybe later). Our current focus is edit data.

This is better served by adding "dimensions" to pageviews such you can request top pageviews that have an image, this is not a trivial problem when it comes to storage.
