Description

Steps to reproduce
Do one of the following:

Open app on Explore screen
Hard restart the app
Pull down on Explore feed to refresh feed

Expected results
No empty card at the top of feed

Actual results
Empty 'Continue reading' card appears at the top of my feed even after hard restarting the app, refreshing feed, adding articles to my saved list and refreshing or traveling through the app. The card has persistently been the first card in my feed since this morning.

I wasn't able to repro the exact issue (blank card), but I did find and fix the problem which caused the card to persist despite having read other articles.
