Closed, DeclinedPublic

Description

When the "Show tabs" button is pressed when the device is offline a weird screen is shown (seems to be a overlapping of two different views) as shown in the screen shot.

Notes

  • It seems specific to certain devices. I could reproduce this in 2 "Samsung" devices)
  • Reproducible only from Explore section

  • In case it doesn't, please try again.

Steps to reproduce

  1. Enable flight mode
  2. Slide all the Explore cards so that the loading symbol is visible.
  3. Click the show tabs icon

Hi @Kaartic, thanks for taking the time to report this!
Unfortunately this report lacks some information. If you have time and can still reproduce the problem, please add a more complete description to this report. Ideally, exact and clear steps to reproduce should allow any other person to follow these steps (without having to interpret those steps) and see the same results.

Projects please :-)

Sorry about that! I accidentally hit the enter button after I entered the Title for this report and it created the task before I could fill in the description. I was actually editing the task details when you were commenting. Quick comments :)

I have created a paste that contains the logcat output that was logged when I see that overlapping. It's P4673

A exception that I found in the logcat output is,

java.io.FileNotFoundException: /data/data/org.wikipedia.alpha/files/savedpages/a3281bb64103d2531234168787698ce/content.json: open failed: ENOENT (No such file or directory)
