The usual error message in the event of a major problem on Wikimedia wikis contains the phrase

If all wikis are down, this link, being a link to a wiki page, breaks, meaning that what's presumably one of the more convincing calls to fundraise just doesn't work.

I'm not sure how fixable this problem is, but it would be nice to link to something more likely to stay up.
