But on the linked topviews page, it is actually at rank 29. This is presumably because the former number does not take into account the "false positive" pages that were removed from the list for having artificially inflated numbers.

Yup, that'd be correct. Thanks for reporting! I think I'm going to first build a custom Topviews API that acts like the normal /top RESTBase endpoint, except with the false positives removed. I've created a ticket for that at T155018
