The "type" bit of this is a part of T72284: VisualEditor: Distinguish better between media types in the search interface and in the editing surface, and could be pretty light-weight (just a drop-down with [ All types v ] and a menu of 'images', 'audio files', 'video files' etc.), but adding all the different ones would be a bunch more design work. Sadly, Discovery doesn't have a search interface design for this, and making something usable would be quite epic…
