Request for Bugzilla admins:
Please add pywikipedia as a product to bugzilla.wikimedia.org. Pywikipedia is hosted in Wikimedia SVN at http://svn.wikimedia.org/viewvc/pywikipedia/ and I believe it would be sensible to use bugzilla as the bug tracker for pywikipedia instead of sourceforge. I hope I'm not stepping on any toes by requesting this. Thank you

Unless I have missed a mail, I have not seen a notification to pywikipedia-l, which would seem reasonable to me.
As a pywikipedia developer, I can confirm we are planning to move from the SF tracker to JIRA. However, the conversion of old bugs is taking longer than expected so we are still using the SF.net tracker for now (nicdumz, Nicolas Dumazet, is working on this).
If you are wondering why JIRA and not bugzilla: take a look at the interfaces. Even the SF.net tracker has a better interface than bugzilla... it's just horrible. No way to get a list of recent bugs. In general: no easy way to do *anything*. Yeah, maybe it's better if you have 800K bugs, but I suspect JIRA will still be better suited for the job. Sorry guys, OSS is not always the right solution.
Changing to WONTFIX. For now we will use the four sf.net trackers and in the future we will use the toolservers' JIRA tracker.
