Many hooks inside MediaWiki are not documented on mediawiki.org. We should make it a habit that when a new hook is added, documentation is immediately updated, but together with that, we should catch up and document hooks that are already existing and being used.

TBH this feels like a waste of manpower to me. hooks.txt is easily parsable so this can be automated (see T155029 for plans), we have plenty of other tasks which do require manual effort.
Well, we should update https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Manual:Hooks regardless. It was last correct with MediaWiki 1.8.2, and is really in need of some attention.
@Legoktm please feel free to reopen if you think this is still relevant. While I closed tasks on our backlog with no activity in the past 3+ years, I see that this is on a number of other backlogs besides EventLogging.
