The first sentence is skipped if the following steps are followed (on the test wiki):

1. The page has a redirect
2. You enter the page through the redirect before staring using Wikispeech
3. You start listening to Wikispeech. First the line with the redirect is played, then the first sentence is skipped and the second one is read out loud.
4. (The same happens if you click the back button.)
