Numerous Gerrit (draft) patchsets cannot be accessed: "Cannot display change because it has no revisions."

hashar added a subscriber: hashar.

I can reach them all now. Seems all those patches are drafts.

Most probably tightly related to the other similar task T161206: Gerrit patchset 99101 cannot be accessed: "500 Internal server error"

Interesting. I still cannot reach them (logged in on Firefox, logged out on Chromium)...

So maybe that behavior is intentional and the error message ist just misleading and should be "Cannot display change because it has no public revisions." or such

We will be able to delete all changes including drafts with gerrit 2.14. (admins can delete them too).

Aklapper renamed this task from Numerous Gerrit patchsets cannot be accessed: "Cannot display change because it has no revisions." to Numerous Gerrit (draft) patchsets cannot be accessed: "Cannot display change because it has no revisions.".Mar 30 2017, 12:12 PM

@hashar or @Aklapper did it produce an error in the logs? I've back ported this https://gerrit-review.googlesource.com/#/c/105152/ fix to stable-2.13. Seems related to your title of this task.

Though i found https://groups.google.com/forum/#!topic/repo-discuss/itHuF4v_dvk so maybe it is meant to do that.

@Paladox: What is "it"? Which "logs"? And what's the underlying reason to ask that question? Please be specific and clear. Thanks!

the gerrit error logs. And trying to see if it is a bug or expected behavour. If it is expected there should be no error in the log. If it isn't expected, there should be an error in the log.

I have no idea how checking whether an issue gets logged or not would actually bring us closer to solving this issue.

The Gerrit drafts seems to be working all fine now. In T157898#3124564 @Albertinisg mentioned wikimedia.biterg.io had trouble fetching them. Do they work now? The problematic changes were:

[256050, 266725, 266726, 32902, 235852, 102114, 101842, 143269, 99101, 58858, 13930]

@Paladox the changes were all accessible when I commented. I dont think I have looked at the logs or they had nothing suspicious. Else I would have pasted them.

If all goes fine now, I guess we can close this task.

We've blacklisted them, so the problematic ones are not being fetched. The failing ones were breaking the retrieval, but once we got the full list of patchsets, the retrieval worked as expected.

Anyway, accessing them through the gerrit web interface, I still get the Code Review - Error Cannot display change 266726 because it has no revisions. so I cannot reach them.

Alright, thanks everybody.
Current behavior looks intentional (as drafts in Gerrit are not public) and has been worked around in Perceval (thanks a lot!), hence closing this task.
