Git's "Last Attracted Developers" lists established developers and developers without a First Commit Date
Closed, ResolvedPublic

Description

"Last Attracted Developers" on https://wikimedia.biterg.io/app/kibana#/dashboard/Git-Demographics looks funny.
It says I started contributing today and has some authors listed without any "first commit date" (which probably should not happen).

Maybe a side effect of T161235: https://wikimedia.biterg.io shows 2017 contributors who are not listed in mediawiki-identities/wikimedia-affiliations.json. In any case, tracking issue here to allow (re)checking.

Event Timeline

Aklapper renamed this task from "Last Attracted Developers" lists established developers and developers without a First Commit Date to Git's "Last Attracted Developers" lists established developers and developers without a First Commit Date.Mar 29 2017, 6:04 PM
Aklapper lowered the priority of this task from Medium to Low.Apr 12 2017, 7:48 PM

Bitergia folks said that this is a known bug (across all installations) and that they are still investigating internally.

I'm lowering priority of this task as Wikimedia is more after last attracted devs in Gerrit (this task is about Git), and I have not seen this very issue in our Gerrit stats.

Cannot reproduce this anymore on https://wikimedia.biterg.io/app/kibana#/dashboard/C_Git_Demo currently, hence closing.
T168217#3383274 is a similar artifact but is handled in that very task already.
