Could you explain why and in which is this necessary or needed or useful.

Obviously to allow customizing the edit summary. I ask because when I'm
running the script on my sysop account with no bot flag I'd like to
suppress the 'bot' mention on the deletion log summaries. Thanks.

Maybe a possible solution would be to suppress the "Bot: " prefix when the sysop account has no bot flag?

Sounds like a good plan to me.

I wouldn't do the same for normal user accounts because bots might not have a bot flag.

And what do you think to put a parameter in the user-config.py file that defines the user as bot, that defines the presence of the Bot: summary prefix for all scripts ?

(i love cats)

Config option to show Bot: prefix by default or some different user-specified prefix seems cool to me.
