During save (saving a new topic or updating an existing topic), the editor switcher stays enabled and using it interferes with the clean up of the editor.

Steps to reproduce:

1. Create and save a new topic
2. While the editor is in "pending" state, switch editor (you have to be quick)
3. Wait for save to finish
4. Open the editor to create a new topic
5. The editor should be empty but it contains the content of the previously created topic
