Description

Check the following on Hebrew Wikipedia on Wednesday 12th:

Note for Thursday 13th:

  • Verify that German Wikipedia and Russian Wikipedia do not show related pages on desktop OR mobile
  • Verify that English Wikipedia shows related pages on mobile site but not desktop ste
  • In Desktop preferences (Special:Preferences) related pages is not listed as a beta feature on English, Russian or German Wikipedia.

Testing criteria:

  1. Visit the mobile website for English Wikipedia any day after April 13
  2. Select any article
  3. Scroll to the bottom of the article and ensure "related pages" section appears
  4. Repeat the above for Hebrew wikipedia
  1. Visit the mobile website for Russian Wikipedia any day after April 13
  2. Select any article
  3. Scroll to the bottom of the article and ensure no "related pages" section appears
  4. Repeat the above for German wikipedia
  1. Visit the desktop website for English as a logged in user
  2. Select any article
  3. Scroll to the bottom of the article and ensure no "related pages" section appears
  4. Select "beta"
  5. Ensure related pages is not listed in the list of beta features
  6. Repeat the above for 1-2 more wikipedias

Ran some tests, here are the results:

PASSED - Verify that German Wikipedia and Russian Wikipedia do not show related pages on desktop
FAILED - Verify that German Wikipedia and Russian Wikipedia do not show related pages on mobile
PASSED - Verify that English Wikipedia shows related pages on mobile site but not desktop site
PASSED - In Desktop preferences (Special:Preferences) related pages is not listed as a beta feature on English, Russian or German Wikipedia.
PASSED - Works logged in and logged out

The German and Russian Wikipedia pages for "dog" are showing related pages on mobile.

I can't seem to do anything about this right now due to the datacenter switch, but I've opened up T163114 to track it.
I think we can sign this task off now that's open.
