During translation punctuation is often misplaced if the link is the last item in the sentence. It will then be moved into the link text and make the link separate in a link target and a link text.

Given that I have a text fragment foo [[bar]].
When I translate that text
Then I shoul get ping [[pong]].

What I get is ping [[pong.]] which is wrong.
