Seems that, for whatever reason, translation aggregate groups are showing incorrect numbers for messages within the group.

For example, this group contains 585 messages in all languages except a few of them, apparently totally randomly.

However, it correctly shows the 585 messages if you try to translate it (in that case, into Bulgarian, which only "has" 150 messages according to the statistics page).
