Description

From @Headbomb: "On AK-47, the bot suggests http://www.dtic.mil/docs/citations/ADA233190, suggesting http://www.dtic.mil/get-tr-doc/pdf?AD=ADA233190 would be more useful, i feel."

Event Timeline

Just as a heads up this is the US department of defense's (DOD) repository. Sadly only minimal content is open to the public. Much of it requires DOD sign-in and could frustrate users.. I've spoken with the librarians who help maintain this resource and they don't see if opening too much more anytime soon.

Looks like on DTIC records they include the field: "Distribution Statement : APPROVED FOR PUBLIC RELEASE"
This might help to weed out some records that are locked down b/c they are classified or restricted to DOD.

As discussed on https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia_talk:OABOT, we generally link to the records, not to the PDF. The same is done by the citation template for e.g. arxiv, so it would be inconsistent to do otherwise. This can be revised if the norm varies.
