Translate tracks CNBanner ns translation and skips direct additions to ns8. Perfectly not only should ns8 be autoedited on workflow state setting to Published for CNBanner but vice versa synchronisation should exist. Now it happens occasionally that people with ns8 namespace access fix translations directly, then someone fixes something else in CNBanner copy, that one gets published and this yields in the ns8 fix being overwritten. Awkward system really, as I see why people do those direct ns8 edits — it takes one action and not 2 + autoedit (edit CNBanner copy, set workflow state, "win" another edit on doing the latter action)

Hm, though it this case it looks that ns8 page was created through workflow state change, so this probably means that the problem you described exists even when people dance the tune the current system dictates, I was wrong.

Can someone from translatewiki.net team help us out on this?

This has nothing to do with translatewiki.net (and content multilingualism issues don't generally get tagged with I18n either), but you could ask whoever is in charge of the Language-Team resourcing to allocate some time to help the CentralNotice maintainers.

debt moved this task from needs triage to search-icebox on the Discovery-Search board.

Let's hope that the Language-Team can take a look, moving to later for us.

Closing out low/est priority tasks over 6 months old with no activity within last 6 months in order to clean out the backlog of tickets we will not be addressing in the near term. Please feel free to reopen if you think a ticket is important, but bare in mind that given current priorities and resourcing, it is unlikely for the Search team to pick up these tasks for the indefinite future. We hope that the requested changes have either been addressed by or made irrelevant by work the team has done or is doing -- e.g. upgrading Elasticsearch to a newer version will solve various ES-related problems -- or will be subsumed by future work in a more generalized way.
