General visual design: solid blue header/footer; gradients for subtle distinctions, fuzzy borders, shadows and outlines to create different objects; navigation as dropdowns, with sidebar at high resolution. Width cutoffs configurable per-site/namespace, including allowing no width cutoff (full-width site)
Default palette: cyan, blue, black (red/purple contrasts?)
