Date problem on phab-01.wmflabs.org, comments timestamp was reset
Closed, InvalidPublic

Description

On the homepage http://phab-01.wmflabs.org/, we can see Github-notif-bot added a comment to T183: test !. in Recent Activity, with the date Wed, May 17, 6:02 PM . It's the first element of the list, so it's the last activity of the instance.

On http://phab-01.wmflabs.org/T183, the task page, the last element is Github-notif-bot added a comment. with the date Fri, May 12, 11:07 PM.

I received a lot of notification emails yesterday (Wed, May 17) from this task at 20:02 (Paris Timezone) = 11:02 (San Francisco). Note that I've received emails about my own comments too in addition to my bot comments.

  • Has anyone changed anything at this date ?

I can transfer emails headers if it can help.

Framawiki updated the task description. (Show Details)
Framawiki added a subscriber: Paladox.

Yes, looks weird. As far as i can tell no ones touched the php.ini file to change the date nor touch the phab config in puppet to change the date either.

Though i did do a elasticsearch upgrade yesterday. I will regenerate the index.

I think this may be a bug. Not sure. @mmodell do you think this is a bug? I've reindexed and still not updating Recent Activity on the homepage.

Hmm, which problems created by this wrong behavior make this is an urgent (=high priority) issue?

@Aklapper This problem happened on one of the beta instance, but it would be really problematic if it comes on production: It would send a lot of emails and change some timestamps.

phab-01 should be running the same code as production, afaik

Yep, seems to be working now though @Framawiki still show wrong. But everything else is correct.

Aklapper raised the priority of this task from High to Needs Triage.Jun 16 2017, 10:40 AM

Yep, seems to be working now

I assume that means "not high priority"
