[en-wiki] PROD/CSD deletion reasons not prefilling when clicking "delete"
Closed, InvalidPublic

Description

For the past two weeks or so I've been having issues with the automatic filling of PROD/CSD information on the "delete" page. not working Previously, the expected outcome was that the deletion reasoning would be prefilled after clicking on the delete button.

For pages with PROD tags, this typically meant that the drop-down menu was ignored, and the text box for "other/additional reason" would be filled with "Expired PROD, concern was: [and then the PROD tagger's concern would go here]".

For pages with CSD tags, the drop-down menu would typically be set to whatever the tag was (so something being deleted under criteria A7 would automatically have A7 in the drop-down list, etc). If there was additional text added by the CSD tagger, that would be filled in in the "other/additional reason" area.

Now, however, clicking the delete button (or using the alt+shift+delete shortcut) almost always (9/10 times) takes me to a generic deletion page, and does not prefill the reasoning. Every so often, a random one **will** prefill, but as far as I can tell this is totally random. There do not appear to be commonalities between pages that do prefill and pages that don't. Whether a deletion template is substed or not does not appear to make a difference. Even a page that prefills when I click on it once usually will not prefill again if I open the same page in a new tab and click delete again.

This is consistent across 2 different computers and 3 different browsers (Chrome, Firefox, and IE). During that time I have not changed or altered my user preferences or scripts in any significant way.

The lack of prefilling slows down my efforts at clearing PROD/CSD backlogs significantly, as I now have to manually fill-in the reasons for deletion.

As I mentioned on IRC, this is an issue with Twinkle or another gadget you have installed. You should talk to the maintainers of that script about getting it fixed.
