I think Technical Collaboration or WMF should buy one or two of the same small video recording set-up that Andrew Lih (@Fuzheado) has for streaming and recording. It is small and works well and we should be able to do this when Andrew is not around to volunteer and help without making a big deal about it.
Andrew's live stream of the Hackathon showcase already has more then 350 views

Doesn't WMF-Office-IT have this already? Maybe not available to bring to events nowadays (?) but we could talk.
In any case, this looks like a WMF initiative that any team could benefit from for the events they organize or attend, not a piece of equipment that Technical Collaboration alone should own.
Maybe - but most importantly it is a live streaming phone that we can attach to a special stand. I just am going to get the details about the specific equipment from Andrew and then I can probably work with Brendan from IT to see what we have.
Note that you are pinging the wrong @Andrew -- I don't know what Lih's phab handle is :(
Each set-up needs: a stand with two iphone clamps. Two iphones.
One iphone will be facebook live and one will be youtube live.
Having two of these set-ups would be quite helpful to record multiple sessions at a time.
@Fuzheado can you post a link to the specific stand and clamps you have?
Thanks a lot!
Ah, this is simpler than I though. Cool. I guess we can morph the requirement to "two smartphones", then.
I wonder how good is the audio quality as an average. "Able to listen the speaker without problems" is good enough.
Great! Thank you @Fuzheado.
@Rfarrand does this information have a place under https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/User:Sonkiki/Hackathons/handbook ?
