As per the discussion at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Administrators%27_noticeboard#Beware_of_new_Grawp_tricks , a persistent vandal has discovered a method to game the system and partially get around currently active range blocks. This trick is in large part dependent upon acting admins not being aware that an IP address is affected by a range block. At present Special:BlockIP will display blocks specific to an IP address but lists no information about range blocks.

To help overcome this problem it is requested that information about range blocks that include a specific IP address being blocked be added to Special:BlockIP. Information on active blocks, as opposed to a listing of historical range blocks, should be sufficient to address this issue.
