Custom domain/URL for phame performance blog
Closed, ResolvedPublic

Description

When I go to https://phabricator.wikimedia.org/phame/blog/manage/7/

I see this, but I can't set those values:

We'd like a custom URL on another domain for the Performance blog, so that it's nicer to share than the cryptic Phame URL.

Ideally we'd use something like https://performance.wikimedia.org/blog/

I don't think this is going to be very easy to set up. In fact, if you want a standalone blog then phabricator may not be the best platform to produce it.

I could easily set up a phurl alias, however, which would make it a little less ugly... eg: The speed of thought

I sincerely doubt Ops would even like us making random sub-domains of .wikimedia.org backed by Phab for blogs.

Could also pretty easily set up a forwarding URL on that host to the blog. Either via redirects.dat or a local change to your apache conf.

Short url https://phabricator.wikimedia.org/u/performanceblog seems fine for now. Closing.
