Closed, ResolvedPublic

Description

Wikilabels should use the wiki belonging to the labeling campaign for the OAuth authorization. Right now it always uses mediawiki.org which is unfamiliar for most users.

I mean the oauth process is the same regardless what wmf wiki is used, and is (IIRC) i18n'd so besides unfamiliarity why should this need to be changed?

Not sure why you'd something else besides unfamiliarity.

[22:49:56] <bd808> meta would be localized to their ui language I think
so i proposed a change to config to make meta the oauth wiki

https://github.com/wiki-ai/wikilabels-wmflabs-deploy/pull/40

Resolving as Meta is internationalize in regards to oauth process, so I see no need to send each user to home wiki.

How many ORES users have ever visited Meta and set their preferred user language there? A tiny fraction, I'd guess.
