Hi @Theklan. For configuration change, local consensus is required according to 'Requesting wiki configuration changes'. Even if the community is small, an announcement of proposed changes is welcomed. Could you bring up the matter on the Village pump page of your wiki (or any other appropriate place) to confirm that this change is wanted by the community, and paste the link to that discussion here?
For more information about how to request these kinds of changes, please see 'Requesting wiki configuration changes'. Thanks!
Hello! Well, I think there's consensus... no one is opposing this! https://eu.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Txokoa#Kartographer_eta_Sandbox-link_luzapenak_instalatzea
Hi @Theklan - I've added a comment to the discussion that you linked to above. Maplink is currently already enabled on euwiki (and all other Wikipedias) and maps can be added to any articles. The more interactive / embedded map (mapframe) is not yet enabled on most Wikipedias - is that what this request is really for?
Hello @debt. Yes, as I answered there mapframe is the main idea we want to implement. About maplink... is there any actual use? Most Wikipedias are using wikiminiatlas and geohack, as far as I can see.
Change 357186 had a related patch set uploaded (by Framawiki; owner: Framawiki):
[operations/mediawiki-config@master] Enable SandboxLink extension on euwiki
Change 357186 merged by jenkins-bot:
[operations/mediawiki-config@master] Enable SandboxLink extension on euwiki
Please split this task in two, one per extension.
You can use this task for the Sandbox one, so change below can still use this id
Adding to interactive sprint to keep an eye on the WMEU community's implementation of mapframe on euwiki.
