Description

Just a report to note relevant upgrade notices and so on.

2.1.24 (released today):

  • The 'list run by' addresses in web page footers are now just the list-owner address. (LP: #1694384)

The reason is obvious, but this is sort of relevant for us because it reduces transparency: there is no longer an automatic way for users to know who the list administrators are (which is useful if you need to contact them by other means such as talk page, or to spot lists where the list admin has left us, or just to democratically know).

Related somewhat is T52864 however not much progress (none) is happening there. If we ain't upgrading to v.3, I guess we should at least be upgrading to the last supported v.2 version.

We are now running 2.1.29 so it's been upgraded since the task was filled in 2017 mentioning 2.1.24, and is running the current debian stable.
