"Back" button doesn't work in Special:RecentChanges in Wiktionary
Closed, DuplicatePublic

Description

How to reproduce:

  1. Go to https://en.wiktionary.org
  2. Click on the "Recent changes" link
  3. Click on the "Back" button in browser
  4. Observe that it doesn't bring you back to https://en.wiktionary.org as it should

I believe this is a recently introduced regression.
Observed in Firefox and Chrome.

Event Timeline

I can only reproduce once in Firefox 53 when the beta feature "New filters for edit review" is enabled, and the "Introducing: New Filters for Edit Review (beta) - Review edits using an easier and more powerful interface, additional filters, user-defined highlighting and other improvements." overlay info is shown, because the "previous page" is the page that you are already on.

Is this a one-time problem, or always reproducible?

Always reproducible for me in both mentioned browsers.
New filters beta feature is enabled by default for me for some reason.
It appears that the "Back" button just reloads the page.

The fix for this should roll out to Wiktionaries tomorrow (Wednesday June 7).
