Currently, there is an option to disable dialogs in the WikiEditor toolbar, which replaces the link input dialog by two separate buttons for internal and external links, degrades the tools for images and tables, and removes the search-replace-button. It should be considered to remove that option, because:
- there is a general tendency to remove user options (T54807: Identify and remove legacy preferences from MediaWiki core (tracking)), and even without statistics I'm pretty sure this option is only rarely used,
- it is confusing (T32796: "Enable dialogs for inserting links, tables and more" preference is confusing),
- it is currently broken (T166857: The globe in WikiEditor disappears when loading is finished).
