Handle namespace selections depending on form content
Closed, ResolvedPublic

Description

Current proposal for the UI constraints of the namespace selection widget:

  1. There must be at least one namespace in it. The last "pill" must lose its close button and other means of removal.
  2. By default, "Articles" is selected
  3. When a user selects File-Related search criteria (file type, dimension), the "File" namespace is added automatically.
  4. When a user selects File-Related search criteria the "File" namespace cannot be removed (no close button). Its "pill" must lose its close button and other means of removal.

@Jan_Dittrich are those constraints correct? Please edit if not.

@gabriel-wmde, yes, they are correct. I don’t like the auto-add concept around the files, but it may be the best we can do if we keep namespaces, text search and file search intertwined.
