Temporarily Lift IP cap for account creation for Editathon in NYC - Saturday July 8th
Closed, InvalidPublic

Description

Art+Feminism and WMNYC are holding a Wikidata Editathon at Artsy on Saturday July 8th in New York City.

We would like to request a temporary lift of the IP cap for the location on this Saturday July 8th, 2017, from 9:00 am – 6:00 pm Eastern Time.

Please do so for these IPs: 98.116.10.66 and 108.30.171.220

We expect up to 70 editors total. We never know how many will be new, but maybe lets say up to 50 accounts. We will be working on en.wiki and wikidata. If it is easier, it is fine to set up the lift for en.wiki only; they can start there, and migrate to wikidata afterwards.

I recognize that this is only ~12 hours from now. I hope that you can do this by then, but I understand if this request is coming too late. (We only just got the IPs from the host venue, after a request 3 weeks ago).

I can't guarantee this will be processed due to time. I'll try to. By the way please always submit request at least a week in advance even you don't know the IP yet (better Is to know everything a week in advance but I understand it isn't always possible).

I'm closing this as invalid because it wasn't possible to catch anybody with deploy access because of time I've noticed it and it's weekend.

Nope, event is over. Went well, and we managed. two of us had account creator, and we caught enough people that we didn't hit the cap.
