Articles do not appear to fully load on iPhone 4 iOS 9.3.5

Description

Found on Tested on iPhone 4 with iOS 9.3 on App 5.6.0 (1172)

Steps:

  1. Install the beta app
  2. Tap on any article or search for an article

Expected:
Articles loads

Actual:
The loading bar fills to about 80% and stops. If the article has a lead image it fails to load. Does not happen on iOS 10.x devices.

Hello, TSG doesn't have an iPhone 4 model at hand (it's not being used for regressions) so I will let @ABorbaWMF do this test.

Tested on iPhone 4 with iOS 9.3 on Beta App version 5.6.0 (1185)

I don't have a 4 but I have an iPad Mini 2 with 9.3.5 and articles load slowly but fine.
