Description

As David and Dayllan begin work on the AbuseFilter, they would like to first familiarize with how MediaWiki extensions work.

Ideas on the best way to accomplish this? @kaldari @MaxSem @Niharika @Samwalton9 @MusikAnimal ?

Work on a few tasks in the required areas, coupled with a dev already versed in these? I'm happy to help myself.

@TBolliger I'd suggest that they install some basic extensions locally and look at the code. There's some reasonably up to date docs on https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Manual:Extensions and then https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Manual:Developing_extensions. Some good starting extensions can be
