About:
Interviews and surveys to understand the motivations, current workflows, and unmet needs of different sets of contributor stakeholders in the Structured Data Commons migration.
This is an approximation of two overlapping and poorly-scoped objectives from the annual plan:
- Objectives 1: Attend movement and GLAM network events that allow us to identify needs and priorities for this stakeholder groups. These will be in collaboration with design research.
- Objectives 2: Write case studies and documentation for Commons and Wikidata projects that allow project development among Wikimedia Communities and allow us to identify gaps in existing tools.
Both of these objectives involved both research and non-research work. The research work implicated in both objectives involves surveys and/or interviews with GLAM contributors and Wikimedia Commons editors. See sub-tasks for details about individual research projects. The non-research work will be addressed by members of other teams.
