The Hebrew article "לאליזה" and the English one, "Für Elise", both have an image of the opening notes as lead image on the page:
However, search results in the Android app show a thumbnail of the image only in the English search:

This is not an issue with the app; the behavior is the same in mobile web, too. The Hebrew article doesn't contain an image that is large enough to qualify to be a "lead image" for the article. Therefore it doesn't have a thumbnail exposed in search results.
Thanks for the clarification. I replaced the image on the Hebrew page with the larger one.
