Edit visual editor table cell by pressing F2
Closed, ResolvedPublic

Description

Currently you have to double click on a cell to edit it.

It would be amazing to just press F2 to edit the selected cell. :-)

This feature is well known from all kinds of spreadsheet apps like Excel, LibreOffice Calc, or Google Sheets.

@Esanders oh yeah, that's cool. Didn't know that. :-)

Still, what do you think about F2 in addition to Enter which is maybe more common for users who use spreadsheets?

maybe more common for users who use spreadsheets

Citation needed :) (I use spreadsheets and I'd never heard of this shortcut until now) We'd also need to check that this doesn't conflict with any other shortcuts on the widely supported browser/platform variants.

Esanders added a project: good first task.
