“item requires statement” should take subclasses into account
Open, Needs TriagePublic

Description

Optionally, “item requires statement” should follow “subclass of” relations (if a “relation” parameter is specified). For example, items with “member of sports team” (P54) should have occupation “athlete” or a subclass thereof.

Event Timeline

I’m sorry, I don’t understand why you’re asking for a relation… from the example, it sounds like what you need is support for relation=subclass in an “item requires claim” constraint.

But we does not support this either.

Sure, but it’s a completely different thing to implement :)

In general, it's welcome to describe a use case in feature requests ("why do you want this and which problem do you want to get solved?"), in addition to proposing a potential solution. Thanks! :)
