Neil and I to discuss and then broaden the conversation and gather thoughts and feedback.

Event Timeline

nshahquinn-wmf renamed this task from discuss criteria for deciding on which findings/s to focus on to Develop criteria for finding evaluation and prioritization.Sep 6 2017, 5:56 PM

We looked at several sources for developing the criteria, discussed, iterated, discussed even more, and refined our criteria to these three. We will use them in the assessment of the findings in our Focus workshop. These criteria are to be used to inform our conversation, and guide us to make a decision. We will vote on which three (in priority order) findings we will focus on for this first round of the project, in the end of the workshop after our conversations aided by these criteria.

Impact
How many new editors does this finding affect?
How deeply does it affect them?
How effectively would work in this area attract and retain new editors?
Would addressing this finding help advance work in other areas?

Difficulty
How easy is it to make progress in this area?
How shallow or deep are the problem in this area?
Would progress in this area require additional work in other areas?

Our effectiveness
What (and how much) work is already being done in this area?
Given our capabilities, how much additional progress could New Editor Experiences create in this area? If there are existing efforts, would we multiply them?
Are there challenges collaborating with other actors in this area?
