Description

I hope this isn't a duplicate but I think it could be useful to have an option to be able to list files only by a selected filetype (extension) on Special:ListFiles.

Type by what definition? extension? Mime type?

Extension type, sorry for not making that clear.

Isn't this basically what https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Special:MIMESearch is for?

Sorry, I forgot to answer. I didn't know about MIMESearch, now that I do I guess it is enough indeed.
