@Jayprakash12345 Add me in patch as reviewer, when you upload it.

Change 381442 had a related patch set uploaded (by Jayprakash12345):
Temporary IP Cap Lift on zh.wiki and commons

@Dereckson Next Deployments Window is on October 2. And This event happens on October 1. So can you see this one?

@Jayprakash12345 We don't deploy outside deployment windows unless emergencies and I don't think this is one. The information page says that tasks should be filed several days in advance and not a limine of the event.

The low-level of accounts expected makes me think at this point that maybe the organizer(s) should get account creator rights on zhwiki and have them create the accounts for the assistants instead if no sysadmin is willing to deploy this (note that if that happens memcached key needs to be deleted as well as it's happening in less than 72 hours). Local bureaucrats Stewards can add/remove the account creator permission to the responsible user(s).

MarcoAurelio renamed this task from Requesting temporary lift of IP cap forTzu Chi University Tzu Chi High School regular Workshop (1 Oct, 2017) to Requesting temporary lift of IP cap for Tzu Chi University Tzu Chi High School regular Workshop (1 Oct, 2017).Sep 29 2017, 3:13 PM

well...I'm so sorry for that:Our school change computer classroom IP,but we forget to check it again.
so 203.68.25.222 is old error IP,ture IP is 203.68.24.32.
I'm very sorry to cause your trouble. And thank you very much!

@NPC Please Find Alternative For that. Because We have not Deployment Window to merge the patch. This event happens on 1 Oct. And We are unable to merge patch from early Oct 2. Sorry Consider Account Creator User Group.

Yes, this is considered as an emergency case, not in the meaning that impacts production for all users (but there is an impact, if only for the ones at the event), but in the meaning it's needed before a regular deployment window.

@Jayprakash12345 I was in vacation without my computer this week-end, so to target an individual isn't always effective. Next time, set the priority to high, and ask on #wikimedia-operations a deployment of your change, explaining it's needed for an event before <date>. If someone with production access is present, they then will be able to deploy it.

Next time, set the priority to high, and ask on #wikimedia-operations

Actually on #wikimedia-tech according to https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Requesting_wiki_configuration_changes :)

So, if someone needs a configuration change not already prepared, they can ask for assistance on #wikimedia-tech. This is the channel used to request support for Wikimedia sites' technical issues.

If someone wrote a change and now needs to have this code deployed to the production servers (and takes responsibility of the testing), they can ask for a deployment on #wikimedia-operations. This is the channel used for deployment purposes.

@Jayprakash12345: Offtopic: Could you please try to avoid quoting complete previous comments?
That would keep text in the web browser more readable. Thanks a lot in advance! :)
