There has been a request that this logo should be the Urdu Wikipedia logo.
I'm not sure if apps have any localisation for their logos.

Yes, the intention is for word marks to be localized now that all word marks are available as clean SVGs. Changing the app icon is separate. See parent task tree.
Per comments above, we are waiting to complete all wordmarks and Android will do an additional check that SVGs are cleanly imported as a VectorDrawable (historically there have been display issues, esp certain APIs).
Moving to UX-debt for now.
