Hello,
on the test page [[Special:SimulateTwoColEditConflict]], the link behind "ConflictTest User" (see screenshot) opens a new page/tab. This is confusing because that's not how the two column edit conflict view behaves outside of the simulation.
It would be great if this could be changed.

One possible solution would be to reserve the username "ConflictTest User" and then simply have the link open up to that user's contributions page.
Just for clarification: You mean it shouldn't open a new edit conflict simulation in a new tab, right? Instead it should show the user's profile – maybe to a fake user's contribution page as Andrew suggested – but still open in a new tab. Is that correct?
