After passing the CAPTCHA page after warning, user is sent back to the Abuse Filter warning page
Closed, DuplicatePublic

Description

To quote an anonymous user, when discussing an abuse filter (these are called "edit filters" on English Wikipedia) set to warn:

If you're adding external links (as both of the edits I mention here do), it does disallow the edit. Trying to save ping-pongs between the edit filter warning page and the CAPTCHA page.

The expected result is quite clear - the anonymous user should be able to save after passing each of the criteria - proving himself to be a human and not a program using the CAPTCHA, and seeing the warning.

@OdMishehu: I do not understand what "trying to save ping-pongs" means, and it is unclear to me what happens after which exact steps and what's expected at which point.
Could you please follow https://mediawiki.org/wiki/How_to_report_a_bug and provide separate sections for 1) steps to reproduce, 2) expected outcome, and 3) actual outcome? Thanks.

Presumably, what this anonymous user means is that (s)he gets the warning page from the filter, clicks on the save button and reaches the CAPTCHA page (so far everything is working correctly); and when the user passes the CAPTCHA test, (s)he is (incorrectly) sent back to the Abuse Filter warning page.

Please consider editing the task description by clicking Edit Task and providing three sections there: 1) A list of clear steps to reproduce, step by step. 2) Expected outcome. 3) Actual outcome. Thanks.

Thanks for your report. It's been confirmed and investigated in a separate task, I'm merging the information there.
