No option to view edits past 30 days

Description

Major regression on the part of developers of this: default tool had an option to look past 30 days in recent changes and the like (so you could, for example, set a number that is lower that 365 and see last X revisions for that number of days), the new AJAXy one just reverts user-defined number to 30 days.

I understand that it is not that needed on recent changes page, but since you are gradually expanding these new filters on other pages (such as Special:RelatedChanges, Special:Watchlist etc.), it is not right to remove this feature entirely.

Event Timeline

@Catrope, @Etonkovidova, Im not sure I understand this point. I thought that users were limited to 30 days on both RC page and Watchlist. Do you know to what the user is referring? Was this an "unofficial" feature? If so, is it something that should be reinstated?

Ahem. Sorry for bothering you and the team, seems like I got something wrong and 30 days was (always or for some time) default setting for max age of RC changes. I guess that shows that I also did not use that feature that frequently and eventually forgot about this. Again, sorry for the interruption.

@jmatazzoni There was a way to view RC changes by specifying time period directly in the url. However, as far as I know, there is a limit on how long RC records will be retained in recentchanges tables (@Catrope - $wgRCMaxAge is 30 days for all wikis?)

@stjn, thanks for following up and taking care of this!
