Description

The problem was reported to me at https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/User_talk:Jeff_G.#Unable_to_load_Commons_images , which will be archived to https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/User_talk:Jeff_G./Archives/2017/November#Unable_to_load_Commons_images .

The user appears to be getting a 404-ish error message from https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/b/b1/Commons_-_no_images.png , which works for me and shows a screenshot of an effect of the problem (no thumbnails shown) on https://commons.wikimedia.org/w/index.php?title=Special:ListFiles/Seth_Whales&ilshowall=1 .

Cannot reproduce, works for me too.
Is that a problem with any / all of the preview sizes on https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Commons_-_no_images.png ?
Is this just about some images, or does this happen for any?

It would be helpful for the affected user to provide response headers for a failing thumbnail, from the browser developer tools. The screenshot alone doesn't inform us enough of what kind of error was encountered.

I see a couple of extensions I don't recognize the logos of in the user's Chrome, trying in Incognito mode to trigger a pageload without those would also be interesting (or just disabling all Chrome extensions temporarily).
